blah

I have finally come to realize what is/ has been bothering me! Me just me in general. Talking to one of my good friends from high school and I realize I have totally changed who I am. I have lost me. That is my new years resolution... To find me again! I know I am in there I just need to break back out. Even knowing that is a big part of what has been bothering me has began a healing process with some of this termoil inside me. That and to loose about 10 pounds I know it sounds crazy but I need to do it. I hide it well or try to. But its there.

Anyway if anyone has any suggestions or advice on a mother of 2 loosing 10 pounds and reconnecting with herself I would love to hear them!!!! Comment away!

  1. Great resolution Angela! You're one busy lady, you need to take a couple minutes for your self whenever you can :) I have no doubt 2011 will be a year of self discovery for you :)

  2. Take the kids for long walks in a stroller, up and down hills. I used to do this with Gabe everyday. If that doesn't work, let Evan watch the kids for an hour while you go for a walk by yourself. It would benefit you in many ways. Try to talk mom or dad into going with you.

  3. I eat a nutrition bar for breakfast (Luna bars), a lean cuisine for both lunch and dinner, and for snacks I have a yogurt or banana. I also drink nothing but water and occasionally a diet soda. I have been doing this for exactly one week and have lost 7 pounds. I haven't excersized yet because it's been so rainy, but I do agree that long walks on hills really helps. The nice thing about the lean cuisines is they are easy and really yummy. They have pizzas and pastas and everything, and so you don't feel so deprived like when you are eating nothing but grilled chicken and veggies ;-) I swear by this diet! I totally had the same moment of realizing I'd lost myself both physically and emotionally right after I had Mason and went through a major transformation. I think every mom has this moment. Becoming a mom basically requires you to re-invent yourself! I think every mom struggles with their image and sense of self during the first years. I know just how you feel. It will all come together. Try doing a project for yourself, like redecorating your bedroom or learning a new skill like sewing etc., to help get you jumpstarted thinking about YOU again.

  4. Kelly, yes. The only beverage I drink is water and one cup of coffee at breakfast. They say if you cut out all the pop, juice, and other sugary drinks you cut 7-10lbs a year! That stuff is just wasted calories.

  5. You guys are all great. I have had water, and a coffee this morning and took the kids on an hour long walk in the rain (it wasn't that cold!) We bundled up and headed out. It was a great feeling and Jackson was way better behaved all day. I think this will work!
